Reach Beyond the Horizon
                         Newsletter

"Welcome" to our first newsletter. When I took this journey of founding this new club, I knew it would be an adventure and a lot of hard work. There was preparing documents, filing documents, advertising and whatever ideas came up to better member communications. Adding to that was learning educational abilities for us to work together while learning from each other, adding for a larger society of support and growth with Amateur Radio and other types of back up communications.

I am proud and excited to finally announce the website is published. Hooray!, I want to thank those who gave me some advice along the way. You know who you are. "Thank You",

I hope you enjoy the website and take away something new and become excited about becoming a member. We will change the website continually to add more educational sharing stories and skills and even go outside our box sometimes and learn something new. Learning something knew can be good for all of us and be fun. A day of doing the same thing eventually becomes a little boring.

For now, we are planning two meetings a month. One meeting will be for Amateur Newcomers. I already have a committee and will introduce them in the November Newsletter. The committee will introduce new ideas for me to present to the Amateur Newcomers in their meetings, and we will use presentations to assist the Newcomers with Radio language, Radio use and other topics assisting them along the way. The second meeting will be for all members, called a regular member meeting. This meeting will have more advanced presentations and skill discussions. Since our meetings will be by Zoom, I have come up with a few communication ideas but would like to hear your suggestions, on communications during a Zoom meeting. Please email any suggestions to Pamkq4iot@gmail.com.

The meetings will start in December, allowing enough time for you to visit the website and become a member.
Meetings will be by Zoom and a Zoom invite will go out by groups.io to members only. I would love to hear your ideas on how to improve the club as we go along. All ideas and suggestions will be reviewed.

In the future we will be offering online study classes for Technician, General and Amateur Extra license. We will be experimenting with HF nets as members join globally. Please visit the website menu bar at top of Home page and review the documents and visit the Calendar of Events for local events.

Thank you for visiting with us.

Hope to hear from you soon!
Pamela, President of Wave Catchers Amateur Radio Society, Inc.
